The Problem
Grinding problems isn't the same as being ready.

You practice alone
LeetCode doesn't talk back. You never know if your explanation was clear, your approach sound, or your confidence convincing.

Feedback comes too late
You find out what went wrong after the rejection email. By then the opportunity is gone, and there's nothing to learn from.

Repetition without insight
Grinding 300 problems doesn't make you interview-ready. Understanding your specific patterns and blind spots does.
A real interview, every time.
Devana doesn't just give you problems. It interviews you. Here's what that looks like.
An interviewer that actually pushes back.
Devana doesn't just present you with a problem and wait. It asks you to clarify edge cases, probes your initial approach, challenges your assumptions, and follows your reasoning exactly like a real technical interviewer would. You can't bluff your way through.

Paste any problem. Get interviewed on it.
You're not locked into our problem bank. Paste in a LeetCode problem, a question from your target company's interview process, or anything you're currently working through. Devana will conduct a full interview session around it. The AI reads the problem, sets context, and begins interviewing you immediately.

Score across sessions
Target 75Know exactly what to fix, right now.
After every session, Devana generates a detailed post-interview report: a score out of 100, split into how you communicated and the technical side of the round, with what raised and lowered each part. A coding round is scored on nine metrics, six of them about how you explained yourself, so you know precisely where you stand and what to work on before your next session.
Not just coding. The whole loop.
Real interview loops don't stop at DSA. Devana covers all three rounds: coding challenges, system design walkthroughs where you explain architecture decisions, and behavioral interviews where the AI coaches you through the STAR method. You can practice any round, anytime.

Coding Round
Tackle real DSA problems in a live code editor with an AI interviewer who adapts follow-ups based on your approach.

System Design
Walk through architecture decisions out loud while the AI probes your trade-offs, scaling strategy, and component choices.

Behavioral
Practice STAR-method responses with an AI that coaches you on structure, specificity, and impact framing.

Session History
Review every past session and track your arc over time.
Real engineers. Real results.
I used to just grind LeetCode and hope for the best. Devana actually made me practice explaining my thought process out loud, which is the part I always choked on in real interviews.

Being able to paste in the exact problem I was studying and get interviewed on it was a game changer. It felt way more useful than doing random practice problems.

The feedback after each session is surprisingly specific. It pointed out that I kept jumping to code before talking through my approach. Small thing, but it made a big difference.

Devana (joindevana.com) is an AI mock interview platform for software engineers. An AI interviewer named Josh runs coding, system design and behavioral rounds by voice, and a built-in editor runs your code. After every session you get a score out of 100, split into how you communicated and the technical side of the round (your code, your design or your STAR answers), with a list of what raised and lowered it. You can paste any problem or practice on your own resume. The free plan includes 3 interviews a month, up to 20 minutes each.
LeetCode gives you problems and a code editor. It doesn't talk to you. Devana simulates the full interview experience. It asks you clarifying questions, probes your thinking in real time, challenges your answers, and gives you structured feedback afterward. It's the difference between shadow boxing and sparring.
Absolutely. This is one of Devana's core features. Paste in any problem: from LeetCode, from a Glassdoor interview report, from a study guide, or something you made up yourself. Devana reads the problem and conducts a full interview session around it. There are no limitations on format or source.
The feedback is specific to your session. Each round type has its own rubric. A coding round scores six things about how you communicated (approach planning, thinking out loud, logic explanation, code defense, silence handling and verbal clarity) and three about your code (correctness, code structure and edge cases). Every score comes with a list of what raised and lowered it, based on what you actually said and did during the session.
No. Devana has a built-in browser-based code editor. You can write, run, and test code directly inside the interview session. No local setup, no IDE configuration, no distractions.
Yes. Devana covers all three rounds of a typical interview loop: coding challenges (DSA), system design walkthroughs where you explain architectural decisions, and behavioral interviews where the AI guides you through structuring answers using the STAR method.
Upload your resume (PDF or DOCX), pick a behavioral, coding or system design round, and Devana builds every question from YOUR actual background: situations from your real roles and projects, coding problems framed around your tech stack, or a design problem close to systems you've built. Each round is graded like the real thing, so a coding round is scored on your code. Your resume is processed in memory only: it's never stored on our servers or in our database.
Yes. The Free plan is completely free and gives you 3 mock interviews per month of up to 20 minutes each, including Bring Your Own Problem, resume-based interviews, company-specific question sets and the full feedback report after every session, enough to get a real feel for the platform. Every report and your whole session history stay free, with no time limit. When you're ready to go all-in, the Pro plan unlocks up to 40 interviews a month of up to 60 minutes each (30 for behavioral rounds) and the AI Coach.
Yes, through the creator program. You get your own link, and you earn 40% of the first payment from anyone who subscribes through it. On the yearly plan that is $139.20 from a single person. Your dashboard shows clicks, signups, conversions and earnings, and you can withdraw once your cleared balance passes $50. Applications are reviewed by hand and there is no minimum audience size.
A click on your link is remembered in that person's browser for 30 days. If they sign up in that time, their account is tied to you permanently, so they could pay months later on a different device and you would still earn. If they never click your link on the device they sign up with, or they clear their cookies first, there is nothing linking them to you. Commission is on the first payment only, one per customer. It is held for 14 days after that payment and then becomes withdrawable, and it can be reversed if the payment is refunded.
