A Devana mock interview in 49 seconds: Josh, the AI interviewer, talks with you out loud, runs your code, takes any problem you paste in and scores you out of 100. Free plan: 3 interviews a month, up to 20 minutes each.
What each part shows
The opening (0:00)
Hundreds of practice problems solved, and silence. A problem set tells you whether your answer passed; it never asks you to explain it. In Devana's coding round, 60% of the score is how you communicate: planning your approach, thinking out loud and defending your code.
The voice interview (0:13)
You talk, and Josh talks back. He asks you to walk him through your approach before you code, and when your plan has a hole in it he says so: in the clip he asks what happens if the array is empty. You choose his style, friendly, realistic, strict or coaching.
It runs your code (0:20)
The built-in editor runs Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java and C++ on Devana's servers, and you see the real output. Josh follows your code as you write it and asks about it; here, the time complexity once the tests pass.
Paste any problem (0:22)
With Bring Your Own Problem you paste in a problem from anywhere, a LeetCode question, an interview report or one you wrote yourself, and Josh runs a full interview on it. It is part of the Free plan.
The whole loop, and your resume (0:28)
Coding is one round of several. System design runs on a whiteboard Josh reads, behavioral answers are scored on their STAR content, and a resume-based round builds its questions from your own projects and stack. Your resume is processed in memory and never stored.
Your target companies (0:32)
Practice from question sets for the companies you are aiming at, such as Google, Meta, Amazon and Stripe. Company sets are on the Free plan too. The questions are Devana's own, and Devana is not affiliated with these companies.
The report (0:34)
After every interview you get a score out of 100, split into communication and the technical side of the round, a label from Needs Work to Excellent, and what raised and lowered each score, so you know what to fix before the real thing. The report is the same on every plan.
